Travel talk | Exploring Jordan on Your Own
Travel talk with photos. In german language. Registration required.
The modern Kingdom of Jordan is a young state in a region with a long history. Given its location in the Middle East, it lies within an area that has long been plagued by conflict. However, over the past few decades, the Jordanian government has managed to stay largely out of these conflicts. For tourists, Jordan presents itself as a peaceful and very hospitable destination with unique places and landscapes. Gottlieb Kaserer travelled through Jordan with his wife Monika and will share his impressions in a talk accompanied by photographs from his trip. The trip was, however, overshadowed by the outbreak of the Iran-Iraq War.
Approach
At Merano train station take either the bus no. 1 or bus no. 4 and get off at the Elisabeth Park stop at via Cavour. From there it is a five-minute walk to via Ortwein.
