After selling a shipment of Mexican cocaine to a wealthy Arab, Billy and Wyatt (who calls himself Captain America) invest the proceeds in a motorcycle trip to New Orleans and the big street party of Mardi Gras. The encounters they have along the way depict America of the hippies, communes, and the celebration of free love and drugs, but also a country marked by deep-rooted prejudice, homophobia, reactionary attitudes, and dramatic violence.
