Hike to Streitweide Alpine Hut

Over meadows and through forests, this hike suitable for families leads to the alpine hut Streitweide on the Schennaberg, where a great playground, a sunbathing lawn and sheep are waiting for you.

Directions

The starting point of the hike is the mountain station of the Taser cable car. Passing by the Taser Alm, you walk along the Taser Höhenweg (No. 40), past the Taser chapel. Continue into the valley through the forest, where after about an hour of walking, you reach the slightly ascending path No. 16, which leads across the meadow to the Streitweider Alm.
For the return, follow the forest road marked No. 19 down to "Hofer Säge" and continue along the Schenner Waalweg to the restaurant Hasenegg. From here, walk towards Oberverdins and follow the trail marker No.19 back to Verdins.
