Sightseeing around Naturno

Local must-see attractions

There is a lot to see in Naturno/Naturns: museums, castles, the ancient Prokuluskirche church, the San Procolo Museum, Reinhold Messner’s Juval Castle and the Dance of Death frescoes in Plaus (Plauser Totentanzfresken).

A visit to the Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle by Merano/Meran should also not be missed, as well as the exhibition on Oetzi the Iceman at the ArcheoParc in Val Sebales/Schnalstal Valley. Visitors can see the glacier mummy himself at the Archeology Museum (Archäologisches Museum) in Bolzano/Bozen. The imposing Dolomites, a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site due to their unique beauty, are also worth visiting and located just an hour’s drive from Naturno/Naturns.
