Cycling Paths in South Tyrol

A variety of cycling tours suitable for everyone

Family-friendly routes leading through orchards, or sportive runs over the mountain pass – Merano and Environs in South Tyrol/Südtirol has a variety of cycling routes ready for enthusiasts of all levels. Cyclists can access the southern part of South Tyrol with the Etschtalradweg cycle path. This cycling tour leads from Val Venosta/Vinschgau Valley via the spa town of Merano/Meran through orchards and on to Verona. The South Tyrolean section runs largely in parallel to the ancient Via Claudia Augusta trade route.

With the Train & Bike (Bahn & Bike) combination ticket, cyclists can use the Vinschgerbahn railway line, reach the Reschenpass mountain pass and then cycle along the ancient Via Claudia Augusta back to Merano. With the Bikemobilcard advantage card, cyclists can combine bus, train and bicycle rentals as well as a bike shuttle at favorable prices.
