Pawigl Bread Time

Discover Old Traditions

On Sunday, September 13th, mountain farmers in Pawigl—a mountain hamlet of Lana located on the southern slope of the Vigiljoch—will combine history and the age-old tradition of bread baking.

Event Schedule & Highlights

11:00 AM Guided tour of St. Oswald’s Church, followed by a group hike to the bread-baking demonstration and herb tour. (in German)

From 11:00 AM (at the festival grounds near Pawigler Wirt)

1:00 PM – 3:30 PM Bread-baking demonstration at the Stuberhof farm.

11:00 AM & 1:30 PM Guided herb tour at the Wieserhof farm.

11:00 AM – 5:00 PM The farm shop at the Wieserhof farm will be open.

Approach

Getting There and Parking

Shuttle Service: A shuttle bus runs every 30 minutes from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., departing from the Lana bus station and taking passengers to Pawigler Wirt.

Parking in Lana: Parking is available on Ländgasse and Gampenstraße.

With a discounted ticket, you can also take the Vigiljoch Cable Car, which operates continuously from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.. From the upper station, Pawigl can be reached with a pleasant 30-minute walk.
