Hike on South Tyrol's southern balcony – from Kurtatsch via Tramin to Söll and back to Tramin
We take the coach through the Etschtal valley to Überetsch and on to Kurtatsch (332 m), a well-known wine village in the Unterland region. Starting from the village centre, the hike leads up to the north-western end of the village and then along an almost flat path to Tramin (276 m). Beautiful mixed forest and magnificent views of the vineyards and slopes around the picturesque wine villages of the Unterland accompany us on the hike. In Tramin, we visit the beautifully situated Romanesque church of St. Jakob in Kastellaz, before passing Rechtenthal Castle and climbing a short distance to Söll (429 m), where we stop for lunch at an inn. After lunch, we descend back to Tramin, where the bus is waiting to take us home.
Sturdy hiking boots, sun and rain protection, clothing suitable for the season and hiking destination, drinks and snacks for the journey.
