There are moments that make waking up early truly worthwhile—and a tour to the Stoanernen Mandlen is definitely one of them. While Mölten is still fast asleep, we switch on the motors of our e-mountain bikes and leave civilization behind.

The Experience

Our journey begins in the cool, crisp mountain air of dawn. Thanks to the electric assistance, we conquer the elevation gain almost silently and without getting out of breath. As we wind our way upward across gentle alpine meadows and through fragrant forests, the horizon slowly changes color—from deep indigo to a soft violet.

Magic at Over 2,000 Meters

At the top, a scene awaits us that feels almost otherworldly. More than 100 stone cairns have stood silently on this summit plateau for centuries. Dark legends of witches’ dances and ghostly rituals surround this place—but as soon as the first golden peaks of the Dolomites glow in the rising sunlight, every eerie thought fades into pure awe.

From Munich in approximately 3,5 hours via the motorway (Rosenheim-Kufstein-Innsbruck-Brenner) until you come to the motorway exit Bozen Süd, you take the carriage way Meran-Bozen, to reach the villages Terlan take the second exit, from Terlan take the mountain road to Mölten.
