Hiking tour at Hirzer: Hochwies-Grube-Oberkirn

Winter hike through the snow-covered Hirzer hiking area.

Enjoy a scenic winter hike through the snow-covered landscape of the Hirzer area. We meet at the Schenna Tourist Office and travel together by minibus to Hochwies, where the hike begins.

Following a well-maintained forest road, we ascend gently to the Gompm Alm. From there, the route continues almost flat to the Grube mountain inn, where we stop for a relaxing break. After the refreshment stop, we descend to Oberkirn, where the minibus will be waiting for our return journey.

A pleasant winter hike with beautiful views, perfect for experiencing the alpine winter at an easy pace.

Approach

Meeting point is the tourism office Schenna. (Erzherzog-Johann-Platz 1/D), parking is available the centre. Access by public transport: Bus line 231 from Merano (bus stop approx. 50 m away).

The ticket can be cancelled free of charge up to 2 days before the hike, after which 50 percent of the ticket price will be charged. For cancellations on the day of the event and in case of no-shows, no refund will be given.
