From Water to Power (Psairer Langis)
Hike from Moos/Moso to Rabenstein/Corvara with guided power plant tour and lunch at inn Rabenstein
Have you ever visited a hydroelectric power plant from the inside? Or wondered how water is transformed into electricity?
The Hinterpasseier region is one of the most water-rich valleys in South Tyrol. For about a century, more than 22 power plants have been built here for sustainable energy production.
The hike starts in Moos/Moso and follows the E5 trail to Rabenstein/Corvara, where participants can enjoy a lunch at inn Rabenstein featuring traditional local dishes from the Passeiertal Valley.
Afterwards, the Rabenstein Power Plant, one of the oldest in the region, will be visited.
The return to Moos/Moso is by public bus.
Walking time: approx. 2.5 h | Difference in altitude: approx. 400 m
The event will be in German and Italian.
