Intercultural Festival

The festival is the result of collaboration between intercultural associations, voluntary organisations and local institutions, with the support of the Municipality of Merano, and aims to promote dialogue, mutual understanding and appreciation of cultural diversity as a resource for the whole community.
The programme (please check PDF) offers a packed calendar of meetings, workshops, performances, film screenings, social gatherings and activities for children and families, thereby creating opportunities for encounters between people, languages, traditions and stories from all over the world. The events take place at various locations across the town, transforming Merano into a vast space for exchange and participation.
The 2026 Intercultural Festival aims to highlight the diverse cultures coexisting in the region, strengthen social cohesion and encourage shared reflection on issues such as migration, identity, peace and rights – through artistic, educational and social forms of expression that are accessible to all.
