Guided guest hike in Val Venosta. Hike via Neuwaal to the Obermontani ruins, Barbara Chapel, Rautwaal, rest stop and through orchards to Silandro.
Hike along traditional irrigation channels: via Neuwaal and Rautwaal to Silandro Magnificent views of part of the Vinschgau Valley
The bus takes us through the interesting Vinschgau Valley to Morter at the entrance to the Martelltal Valley, where our hike begins. We hike up via Neuwaal to the ruins of Obermontani Castle (838 m) and on to the Barbara Chapel. After crossing Marteller Straße, we continue along the Rautwaal, where we stop for lunch at a spot with great views (packed lunch). After a long break, the hike continues westwards, descending to the hamlet of Holzbrugg and then hiking through orchards to Silandro, where the bus is waiting.
Sturdy walking shoes, sun and rain protection, clothing suitable for the season and the hiking destination, drinks and snacks for the day
