A new show The ENSEMBLE SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA, conducted by GIACOMO LOPRIENO, presents a unique tribute to the music of the great Italian composer, now expanded with new pieces—mostly lesser-known but profoundly beautiful works from Morricone’s vast repertoire—bringing to life the new show “Discovering Morricone”. More than a concert Not just a concert, but a journey of words, imagery, and solo performances guiding the audience through the decades that made Italian and international cinema and music great. The incredible journey begins with melodies that have remained in the collective memory of generations, featuring the evocative power of MISSION, THE LEGEND OF 1900, ONCE UPON A TIME IN THE WEST, NUOVO CINEMA PARADISO, THE HATEFUL EIGHT, ONCE UPON A TIME IN AMERICA, FOR A FEW DOLLARS MORE, MALENA, which have characterized the Ensemble Symphony Orchestra’s previous seasons, and continues with other works such as THE UNTOUCHABLES, LA CALIFFA, CANONE INVERSO, INVESTIGATION OF A CITIZEN ABOVE SUSPICION, including a special focus on the great songs written for artists like Dulce Pontes, Amii Stewart, Joan Baez, and Mina in a new symphonic arrangement. The Ensemble Symphony Orchestra With 500 film scores, 70 million records sold worldwide, six nominations, two Oscars, three Grammys, four Golden Globes, and a Golden Lion, Ennio Morricone is a giant of all-time music. Inspired by him, the Ensemble Symphony Orchestra, a jewel of Italy, pays tribute to the Maestro. The Orchestra approaches Morricone’s music after important national and international collaborations with artists like Mario Biondi, Max Gazzè, Franco Battiato, Giovanni Allevi, Renato Zero, Francesco Renga, Pooh, Baustelle, PFM, Andrea Bocelli, Sting, Kylie Minogue, Robbie Williams, Nile Rodgers, Sam Smith, Luis Bacalov. With over 600 concerts across Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Spain, the Netherlands, France, Austria, the United Kingdom, and Belgium, the orchestra demonstrates great versatility, covering everything from famous opera arias to worldwide film scores—from Frozen to Harry Potter. In this tribute, the stage will feature soloists and principal musicians from major Italian theaters and symphonic institutions, such as cellist Maestro Ferdinando Vietti and trumpeter Maestro Stefano Benedetti.
