Dorf Tirol in autumn? The Women’s Museum Merano was founded in 1988 from Evelyn Ortner’s private collection of historical clothing and is one of Europe’s oldest women’s museums. Today, around 8,000 objects tell the story of women’s lives and changing roles from the French Revolution to the present day. Clothing, everyday objects and personal stories offer a different perspective on history and make the museum a place for exchange and new perspectives.
