Coffee roastery at 1,818 m at the Rotwand Mountain Restaurant. Specialty coffee beans roasted with craftsmanship and coffee roasting workshops.
The MONTI Coffee Roastery is located at 1,818 metres above sea level at the Rotwand Mountain Restaurant in Hafling and is likely one of the highest coffee roasteries in Europe.
Here, only specialty coffee beans are roasted, with time, care and true craftsmanship. The small roastery was born out of the passion of host Klaus Alber, who grew up in a family of restaurateurs and learned the craft of coffee roasting in Florence as well as with Moritz Hofer from Eligo Caffè.
Different coffees are roasted for various brewing methods – from espresso to filter coffee. Whether espresso machine, Chemex, moka pot or French press, each preparation has its own character.
Visitors can discover the roastery at the Rotwand Mountain Restaurant and take part in coffee roasting workshops, offering insights into the world of specialty coffee.
