Since 1979, ARUNDA has embodied South Tyrolean sparkling wine culture at the highest level: at 1,200 metres above sea level, sparkling wines mature in Europe’s highest-altitude sparkling wine cellar, produced exclusively according to the traditional method of bottle fermentation from the very beginning. The naturally constant year-round temperature in the deep cellars of Meltina creates ideal conditions for extended ageing on the fine lees for at least 36 months and significantly longer for Riserva qualities. The foundation lies in carefully selected vineyard sites in Terlano, Appiano Monte and Valle Isarco. The growing importance of higher-altitude vineyards opens up new perspectives for fresh, precise and long-lived base wines for sparkling wine production. This origin, combined with a handcrafted and clearly defined oenological signature, shapes ARUNDA’s new generation of sparkling wines. At the heart are the four classics: Brut, Brut Rosé, Pas Dosé and Blanc de Blancs. They form the pillars of production and are the first to appear in the new design. The concept combines a sketch by Michael “Muggi” Reiterer with the new logo: an “A” for ARUNDA, at once a symbol of the riddling rack, the mountain peak representing Europe’s highest-altitude sparkling wine cellar, and Alto Adige. The labels evoke the pearls in the glass with golden reflections and, through their colours, reveal the complexity and different styles of the sparkling wines. This is the new ARUNDA: a clear line, absolute quality, and a modern interpretation.
