City Library Merano

A public library offering books, digital resources, cultural events and learning spaces in a restored historic building.

The Merano Civic Library is a public library located at Via delle Corse 1. Since 1992, it has been housed in a historic building spanning two floors and approximately 1,500 square meters. The library is open to all and serves both German- and Italian-speaking residents. After registering, visitors can borrow books, magazines, DVDs, audiobooks, and other multimedia materials free of charge. The library also offers reading and study areas, free Wi-Fi, public computers, an interlibrary loan service, and an online catalog. Throughout the year, it organizes reading programs, book presentations, workshops, and cultural events for children, teens, and adults.

Most bus lines connecting to the Merano train station stop on Via delle Corse.
Description to arrive at destination
The library is a four-minute drive from the Merano train station. Take Viale Europa and at the roundabout, take Corso della Libertà. Continue until you reach the theater and turn left onto Via delle Corse. The library is located right on the corner of Via delle Corse.

There is a shopping center with parking on Corso della Libertà.
