Baby Pit Stop- City Library

Baby Pit Stop is a free and accessible public space with a separate breastfeeding area, a changing table and a small play area for children.

In 2021, the Soroptimist Merania Club joined the national "Baby Pit Stop" project. This initiative aims to provide a dedicated space for mothers to breastfeed and change diapers. The first "Baby Pit Stop" was set up at the Sinigo municipal library, while the second was set up at the Merano Civic Library on Rennweg.

Encouraged by the success of the first two initiatives and recognizing the importance of the service offered, Soroptimist Merania members, in collaboration with the Municipality of Merano, launched a third project at the Merano Town Hall.

The "Women and Children's Room" is also equipped with a table, chairs, and toys for the little ones.
