How to describe the world: images and languages for describing reality in books

A seminar to discover the genre of non-fiction picture books, from its roots to the present day, bringing to light brilliant examples directly from the ÓPLA Archive. Through a brief historical introduction, an immersion in the pages and a small practical experience, we will reflect on the use of images and language to narrate phenomena, ideas and relationships, thus making the world visible and understandable, an invitation to experiment and (re)think the illustrated book as an aesthetic tool, a key to knowledge
