Very Strange Music – o l’arte dell’ascolto

It is an invitation to the art of listening: to a shared immersion in musical worlds, to attentive listening and to the discovery of soundscapes. Free admission.

In an age where algorithms constantly serve up similar sounds on personalised playlists, at a time when the sheer abundance of music paradoxically makes it harder to discover new musical languages, and where shuffle functions and streaming services like Spotify hinder the mindful listening of an album in its entirety – this is precisely where our gatherings come in.
Very Strange Music invites you to a shared listening experience that celebrates the art of listening, the art of hearing.
In a relaxed atmosphere, Federico Campana (composer and director), Cornelia Schöpf (director and member of a punk band) and David Torri (musician, sound artist) present selected tracks, briefly introduce their distinctive features and then open the space to pure listening. From Wendy Carlos to Romanian hyperpop, from Peruvian punk to Karlheinz Stockhausen, a 360-degree soundscape unfolds – a free and vibrant exchange in an informal setting.
