From Riobianco, in the upper part of Val Sarentino (1330 m), we walk north following trail 9/27 along a narrow paved road, reaching the "Winkhöfe" farmsteads (1442 m) in about 20 minutes. We then continue on a flat gravel path to the first fork. Turning left, we proceed along a wide forest road (trail 27) deeper into the valley until the next fork. Again turning left, we cross the Unterberg Valley (trail 27), partly flat and partly with moderate ascent, until reaching the "Ebenberg" alpine pasture (1780 m).
The descent follows the same route as the ascent.
