Directions
Your hike starts at the village bridge in the centre of St. Leonhard in Passeier. Follow the road into the Kohlstatt until you reach its end near the kindergarten. Turn left there and follow trail no. 30 towards Sandhof. Immediately after the underpass, turn left and continue along the Gandellen Trail no. 3A to the historic Sandhof.
Once you reach the bus stop at Sandhof, turn right and follow the path to the Passerdammweg Trail (trail no. 30). Turn right again and follow the pleasant, wide path to the underpass at the starting point of the Gandellen Trail, where the loop closes. Finally, follow the familiar route for the last section back to the centre of St. Leonhard in Passeier.
Recommended equipment
Wear warm, weather-appropriate clothing, sturdy and waterproof hiking boots and, if necessary, traction aids such as microspikes or crampons. Walking poles can provide additional support on snowy and slippery trails.

No winter maintenance is carried out on the Gandellen Trail or the Passerdammweg Trail. Depending on the weather conditions, snow and slippery sections caused by ice should therefore be expected.
