The Radicchio di Treviso – the finest of the radicchio varieties – thrives here thanks to the unique altitude and climate of the Deutschnonsberg. 🌄 From mid-September to mid-October, the winter radicchio reaches its harvest peak and becomes the culinary star in the region's restaurants. 🧑‍🍳💫

Enjoy the bitter-sweet taste of radicchio in countless variations: whether fresh in a salad, grilled, gratinated, or in stuffed dumplings – the chefs' creativity knows no bounds! 🍴🎉

🌿✨ Aschbach – Peace and relaxation at 1,360 m

High above the valley, nestled in the lush green mountain meadows, lies the idyllic Algund mountain village Aschbach. 🚶‍♀️🏞️ At 1,360 m above sea level, Aschbach offers the perfect retreat, away from hustle and bustle, where peace and relaxation come naturally. 🧘‍♂️💚

The village is easily accessible via a 12 km mountain road or with the Aschbach cable car from Rabland/Saring. 🚡🌄

The sights include the Maria Schnee chapel, built in 1695, and the Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, constructed in 1886. ⛪️ The peaceful atmosphere, seclusion, and green natural surroundings make Aschbach the most sustainable part of Algund, as it is barely traveled by cars. 🌱

Aschbach is also the ideal starting point for numerous hikes, such as to Vigiljoch, Naturnser Alm, or to the Schwarze Lacke, a black moor lake. 🌳

In this part of Algund, nature becomes an experience – quiet, sustainable, and genuine! 💚

What we’ll collect: Cans, glass & plastic bottles, packaging, cigarette butts – everything that litters our parks, streets, and squares. 🚮
