On September 7th, the Ultental Valley transforms into a sweet paradise! Farmers from all over South Tyrol will bring their traditional, handmade krapfen to the valley station of the Schwemmalmbahn, crafted with love and passion. 😋🥮

Whether classic sweet, fruity, or with a savory twist – there’s something for everyone! Taste the variety of regional specialties while enjoying the breathtaking mountain scenery. 🏔️💛

Adding to the atmosphere is Die Hopfenmusig, bringing lively traditional folk music to the festival. 🎶

The hiking area around the Spronser Lakes Plateau

The colorful Spronser Lakes Plateau is located northwest of Dorf Tirol, in the middle of the Texel Group Nature Park, between 2,117 and 2,589 meters above sea level. The largest high-altitude lake plateau in the Eastern Alps consists of ten high-mountain lakes, which are undoubtedly among the most beautiful alpine lakes in the entire Alps. Some of the names – Langsee, Grünsee, Schwarzsee, and Schiefersee – reveal the size and the vibrant colors of the waters. 🌊💧

Not only the flora and fauna around the Spronser Lakes above Dorf Tirol is fascinating. An incredible spectacle awaits hikers as they see a group of chamois 🦌 running over the rocks and hear the whistles of marmots 🐾. At night, the starry sky 🌌 from up here is a unique show, which already captivated our ancient ancestors. Near the Oberkaser Hut, prehistoric rock carvings ⛏️ can be found, depicting the movement of the stars. 🌌
