Speed Hiking in Hafling, Vöran and Meran 2000

Speed hiking on the mountain plateau of Hafling, Vöran and Meran 2000

Speed hiking in Hafling/Avelengo, Meran 2000 and Vöran/Verano is all about hiking and speed. Sticks help stabilize and simultaneously train the muscles of the upper body. There are numerous competitions held nationally in this mountain run discipline.

In the Meran 2000 hiking area is located the new Naif-Meran 2000 Speedhiking Trail. The trail runs from the Meran 2000 Cable Car valley station to the mountain station. The route travels almost 8km uphill, with a difference in altitude of 1,270m a.s.l..

Anyone looking for a sporting challenge should try the Sunnseitn-Steig trail in Vöran. From around 1,000m a.s.l., the path leads from the Burgstall/Postal-Vöran Cable Car valley station to the upper station on the Tschögglberg mountain plateau.
