Weather in the mountains
Weather in the mountains
Weather in the mountains
A strong high-pressure system centred over Central Europe is determining the weather, but on the southern side of the Alps the air masses are layered in an unstable manner.
Following a sunny morning, cumulus clouds will grow larger in the afternoon, leading to a slight increase in the likelihood of thunderstorms, particularly from the Ortler Group, across the Sarntal Alps, to the southern Dolomites.
Mountain weather tomorrow
High pressure will bring stable midsummer weather to the Alps.
Brilliant sunshine will prevail for most of the day. During the afternoon, only a few small cumulus clouds will develop over the mountain peaks.
