Fountain Pfarrplatz square

In the course of the project "Respect the mountain" the certified fountains of the municipality of Meran were collected and published. The project raises awareness for environmental friendly, respectful and responsible behaviour on the mountain. The fountains invite you to fill up reusable bottles with fresh and high-quality drinking water.

Tip: buy a 'pure' soulebottle for € 20.00 directly at the Merano Tourist Information Office, produced in a fair, sustainable and climate-neutral way.

At Merano train station take either the bus no. 1 or bus no. 4 and get off at the Elisabeth Park stop at via Cavour. From there you reach the the Piazza Duomo in 10 minutes by foot.

The St Joseph Clinic has spacious disabled parking spaces. From there you can reach the Piazza Duomo on foot in 10 minutes.

You will find bicycle parking spaces on Piazza Duomo. Please note that bicycles must be pushed to reach the parish church along via Portici or via Leonardo da Vinci, as these are pedestrianised areas. Take care not to park bicycles and e-scooters carelessly. They can pose a danger to blind and visually impaired people as they create obstacles to safely walking along paths and finding entrances. People in wheelchairs and parents with pushchairs can also be hindered by carelessly parked bicycles. Please use the bicycle parking spaces provided

Bring a reusable water bottle easily refillable at the fountain. Water flows in the drinking fountains from spring to autumn. Depending on the weather and temperatures, the fountains are in operation from the beginning/middle of April to the middle/end of October.
