Cream butter, sugar, lemon zest, and vanilla sugar until smooth. Mix in the egg and milk. Add flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Knead into a smooth dough and chill for 30 minutes.

Peel, core, and thinly slice the apples. Mix with sugar, toasted breadcrumbs, raisins, pine nuts, rum, vanilla sugar, and lemon zest.

Roll out the dough into a rectangle (about 40 ร 20 cm / 16 ร 8 in) and place on a greased baking tray. Spread the apple filling in the center, fold in the sides, and roll up. Brush with beaten egg.

Bake in a preheated oven at 180 ยฐC (355 ยฐF) for about 35 minutes until golden brown. Let cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
