Markets remain a popular place to shop in South Tyrol, both for locals and visitors. In addition to fresh and seasonal food, you’ll also find flowers, leather goods, and clothing to suit every budget. In Naturns, the weekly market takes place every Saturday morning (from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.) at the Town Hall Square. There is also a farmers’ market every Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Burggräfler Square in Naturns, where typical farm products like speck, vegetables, bread, and more can be bought directly from the producers (until the end of October).
The large weekly market in Merano takes place every Friday at Prader Square, near the train station. In addition to the large market, a farmers’ market is held in Galilei Street.
