The Meran 2000 cableway mountain station is designed for children to have fun as they start learning about climbing the mountains.
Balancing on a
slackline or climbing up a practice wall are just a couple of the numerous activities at the Outdoor Kids Camp. At the
Meran 2000 hiking area, the idea of the Outdoor Kids Camp serves to train and prepare young
adventurers for the mountains in a safe environment. The camp next to the cableway mountain station is designed for children to have fun as they start learning about climbing the mountains. This progressive training strengthens and improves endurance, as well as a sense of balance and other skills. Open to all ages, the training camp has jumping, running and exploration facilities as well as improving a sense of balance. It provides a much-needed real practice space in an increasingly digitized world where tactile experiences and physical movement are too often lacking.
The facilities are many and include a racing track with chronometer, dual cables, various slacklines, carpets, paths and equipment to improve balance, trampolines, tree trunks for climbing, slides, a climbing wall and a swing with basket.
The bravest could hazard a ride down on the
AlpinBob, a wheeled bobsled operating all year round. There’s also a
petting zoo with small farm animals such as ponies, small goats and rabbits.
