General description
The Beimstein Knott is one of three tuff knolls. These three tuff knolls are of volcanic origin and are unparalleled in South Tyrol. Additionally is impressive for its stunning view overlooking the village of Vöran.
On the red rock is placed a new installation, called “Attimo” installation. It is comprised of five chairlift seats placed in a row, representing an imaginary chairlift.
Route description
The hike starts in the center of Vöran; trail no. 16 leads gently uphill toward the Oberwirt restaurant and continues below the Grüner Baum Inn. Here, trail no. 12 first takes you left through the forest up to the Beimstein Knott, from where you have a beautiful view of the village of Vöran. The descent follows trail no. 12 back to the first intersection, then continues left along forest trail no. 14 until you return to the village of Vöran.
Description to arrive at destination
Coming from both directions of the freeway Meran/Merano - Bolzano/Bozen (MEBO), take the exit of Meran Süd/Merano Sud and follow directions towards Meran first, to then turn right towards Hafling, follow the street to Vöran – the parking place is near the parish church in the centre.

- Bus no. 204 "Hafling - Vöran - Mölten - Terlan - Bozen"
- Bus no. 225 "Meran - Hafling - Falzeben" (until Hafling Dorf, than change to busline no. 204)
- 226 Funicular Burgstall - Vöran

Safety instructions
In winter: Due to temperature fluctuations and sub-zero temperatures at night, the hiking trails may be icy. We strongly advise caution and recommend using snow chains for hiking boots.
