In the warmer months, Lana combines
sports and
recreation. If for once you don't feel like getting on your
bike or scaling up another
peak, think what it would be like to soar above Meran and Environs and its green countryside in a
paraglider. How about a round
golf beneath the ruins of Brandis Castle, or discovering the South Tyrolean countryside on horseback? Maybe a game of
tennis in one of the courts. Whatever your preference, there’s hardly any chance for boredom to set in!
During summer there are numerous
swimming opportunities: whether you enjoy chasing the dragonflies on the surface of the Natural Swimming Pool in Gargazon/Gargazzone, soak in the thermal waters at the Meran Thermal Baths, or plunge into one of the lakes … in and around Lana cooling off from the summer heat is never a problem. Go river
rafting, or
climb up boulders into the upper reaches. Local travel companies can assist you with day trips to the legendary cities of Verona and Venice, or go exploring in the Dolomites. A day excursion to the attractions of Lake Garda is highly tempting. Lana offers all sorts of opportunities for day trips, also thanks to its proximity to Meran/Merano.
