Short Hike to the Waidmannalm Mountain Hut

General description

This short hike leads to the Waidmannalm Mountain Hut in Meran 2000. It is very easy walk and suitable for families with children.

Route description

This relaxing recreational hike to the Waidmannalm Mountain Hut begins at Pfiffinger Köpfl, which you can reach from Hafling/Falzeben either with the Falzeben Cable Car or via the Meran 2000 Funicular. This easy winter hike through the plateau’s vast forests follows trail no. 18 all the way to the Waidmannalm Mountain Hut without any noticeably steep sections.

If you prefer a sportier route, you can skip the cable car and start directly from the parking lot at Falzeben. From there, you hike past Chalet Zuegg and the Rotwand Restaurant up to Pfiffinger Köpfl, where the trail then leads directly and easily to the Waidmannalm Mountain Hut.
