Current weather forecast for Naturns

Naturno/Naturns has one of the lowest amounts of precipitation in the Eastern Alps. With 315 days of sunshine a year, you will wait expectantly for another welcome rainfall! The pleasantly mild climate is influenced by warm southern air currents, which flow from the Merano basin into the western part of Naturno. In the middle of February, when the surrounding mountain peaks are still covered in snow, spring is already in bloom here. Due to the Mediterranean-influenced climate, the vegetation is also particularly diverse. In addition to the wide variety of apple varieties cultivated around Naturno, fruits that are usually associated with locations further south are also grown. Some home gardens in Naturno grow figs and kiwis, grapes thrive at up to 900 m above sea level, and even lemons bloom here. This friendship with the sun shapes the area and its people, and helps culture and nature to blossom at their finest.

Next evolution
Thursday will be quite sunny, with morning clouds soon clearing. Föhn conditions will persist, particularly in the north. Friday will also be mainly sunny, although cloud cover may be slightly thicker at times along the main Alpine ridge. Saturday will bring very sunny conditions across much of the region. As the weekend approaches, temperatures will rise again, particularly in the south. On Sunday, too, the sun will shine across the whole region, with midsummer temperatures of up to 35°.

Weather in the mountains
With a weak south-westerly upper-level flow, the alpine region will remain within a warm and unstable air mass.
In most mountain groups, conditions will initially be partly sunny, although isolated showers may already occur in places. As the day progresses, cumulus clouds will become more widespread, leading to an increasing likelihood of thunderstorms in all mountain areas.
Mountain weather tomorrow
A cold front is reaching the Alps and will move across South Tyrol during the course of the day.
It will often still be sunny in the morning, but clouds will then increase and the first rain showers or thunderstorms will develop in the western mountain ranges. In the afternoon, thunderstorms – some of them heavy – will sweep through everywhere. As the front passes through, a strong northerly wind will pick up.
