The magical park of lights event in the Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle

In der malerischen Kulisse von Schloss Trauttmansdorff in Meran erwartet die Besucher:innen diesen Winter eine neue, zauberhafte Attraktion: Der LUMAGICA Lichterpark, Südtirols erster und einziger Park dieser Art, öffnet am 21. November 2024 seine Pforten und lädt zu einer märchenhaften Entdeckungsreise für die ganze Familie durch die winterlichen Gärten ein. LUMAGICA geht über das Konzept einer Lichtinstallation hinaus – der Lichterpark ist eine Hommage an die Schönheit der Natur und die Vielfalt des Lebens. Jede der handgefertigten Lichtinstallationen ist mit Sorgfalt gestaltet und fängt die einzigartigen Themen und Stimmungen des Gartens ein. Die Ausstellung kann bis 6. Januar 2025 bewundert werden.

65 years of the ropeway Vöran-Burgstall

Today’s life in Vöran cannot possibily imagined without the ropeway Vöran-Burgstall. What seems quite normal today, was pure utopia about 150 years ago. Today, the panoramic cable car that connects the low mountain village of Vöran with Burgstall in the Etsch Valley every 20 minutes is a lifeline and sustainable means of transport for commuters, students, sports enthusiasts and hikers.

The Knottnkino

On the 1465 m high “Rotsteinkogel” in Vöran, 30 folding chairs made of stainless steel and chestnut wood offer an open-air cinema experience of a special kind. The millennium project "Knottnkino", created by Franz Messner in 2001, has been extended 2019 in a three-part sequel.

The Tschögglberg makes itself fit for the future

3 committed tourism associations, 1 shared vision - this is the Tschögglberg tourism region, which was awarded GSTC certification and the South Tyrol Level 3 sustainability label in February 2025. Within just under a year, the tourism associations of Hafling-Vöran-Meran 2000, Mölten and Jenesien developed various measures and projects to turn the Tschögglberg into a sustainable tourism destination. They were supported by the technical expertise of the Ökoinstitut Südtirol | Alto Adige.
