Bärenbad Alm

Bärenbad Alm is set at 1,700 metres on the Vigiljoch, where peaceful mountain scenery meets honest South Tyrolean cooking. From Lana, the Vigiljoch cable car takes you up in 6 minutes; from the top station, the inn can be reached on foot in about 60 minutes, or by chairlift followed by another 30-minute walk. From the sunny terrace, the view stretches across the Adige Valley to the Dolomites. Since 2010, Alexa and Stefan have been running the alpine inn with a feel for local tradition, serving authentic dishes made with regional ingredients, homemade cakes and a notable selection of schnapps.
