A production by the Braunsbergbühne Lana
A dysfunctional and desolate theater troupe in Lisbon receives a surprising invitation to an international theater festival in the initially mysterious "Frongar." The theater director and unsuccessful playwright Pessoa decides to write an original play for the occasion.
Enter the shady initiator of the theater festival, Mr. Nikolescu, accompanied by his assistant Schimmel. He escorts the theater troupe through Spain, France, and Switzerland to the festival venue in Frangart, South Tyrol.
Step by step, the true purpose of the festival and Mr. Nikolescu’s hidden intentions are revealed. In truly absurd twists, the play within the play reaches a tragicomic climax.
Lanan author Peter Huber brings historical figures into contact with fictional characters in this play.
Huber spans the narrative from a dark era to the present day, raising provocative questions.
