Buses and trains: comfortable and eco-friendly transport in South Tyrol

South Tyrol’s public transport system is efficient and well integrated. As a guest in Marling, you’ll receive the South Tyrol Guest Pass upon check-in at your accommodation – giving you free access to all public transport within the South Tyrol transport network: regional trains, city and regional buses, and selected cable cars that are part of the public system.

Whether you're taking a train through the Etsch Valley, a bus into Merano, or a cable car (where included), the Guest Pass lets you explore sustainably, comfortably and at no cost. Up-to-date timetables, routes and ticket info are available at www.suedtirolmobil.info or via the südtirolmobil app, which provides real-time route planning, maps and travel details.

The Partschins Waterfall plunges 97 metres over a dramatic rock face and is at its most powerful during spring snowmelt. On sunny days, rainbow mist fills the air, creating a refreshing microclimate. The waterfall is easily reached via marked hiking trails or public transport from Partschins, set within the scenic Zieltal valley.💧⛰

In the Naturns Region, the St. Proculus Church and its adjoining museum bring some 1 500 years of history to life. The unassuming church houses remarkable pre-Romanesque and Gothic frescoes from the 7th to 14th centuries, including the famous ‘man on a swing’ – one of the oldest preserved mural cycles in the Alpine area. Opposite the church, the underground museum guides visitors through multiple historical eras and displays original frescoes and archaeological finds that reflect the art, faith and everyday life of past generations. ⛪✨
