Erntezeit in Südtirol – Der Apfel im Mittelpunkt 🍏🍎

Die Apfelernte hat begonnen – eine ganz besondere Zeit für unsere Obstbauern in Südtirol! Von August bis November werden rund 7 Milliarden Äpfel von Hand gepflückt – mit viel Erfahrung, Sorgfalt und einem geschulten Blick für den perfekten Reifegrad. Denn nur so sind Qualität, Frische und Lagerfähigkeit garantiert.🌿👨‍🌾🚜

Los geht’s im August mit den ersten Sorten – und im November werden die letzten Äpfel geerntet. Diese spätreifen Sorten wachsen ausschließlich in den tieferen Lagen Südtirols, wo sie ideale Bedingungen finden.🍎🍏

🍏 Wussten Sie schon? Jeder Apfel wird zu 100 % von Hand gepflückt. Helfer:innen und Bauern arbeiten Seite an Seite. Moderne Hilfsmittel wie Pflückeimer, Hebebühnen oder Gabelstapler erleichtern die Arbeit – doch das Pflücken bleibt reine Handarbeit.

📦 Nach der Ernte gelangen die Äpfel in Großkisten zur Obstgenossenschaft. Dort werden sie mit einem Barcode versehen, schonend gekühlt und nach dem Prinzip der kontrollierten Atmosphäre (CA) gelagert. Der Sauerstoffgehalt wird stark reduziert, wodurch sich der Reifeprozess verlangsamt – die Äpfel treten in einen „Winterschlaf“ und bleiben so bis zu 12 Monate frisch.

💧 Bevor sie in den Handel gelangen, werden die Äpfel gewaschen, sortiert und verpackt – hochpräzise: Form, Farbe, Größe und Schalenreinheit werden mit modernster Kameratechnologie geprüft. Dank der lückenlosen Rückverfolgbarkeit lässt sich jeder Apfel bis zum jeweiligen Hof zurückverfolgen.
