In addition to the South Tyrolean Haflinger, visitors can also enjoy riding activities with other horse breeds. Whether you are taking your first riding lesson, improving your skills or learning how to interact with horses in a respectful way, the local riding schools and equestrian centres provide suitable activities for children, adults, beginners and experienced riders.
Those interested in equestrian sports should visit Merano Racecourse, one of the most beautiful racecourses in Europe. Throughout the year it hosts exciting horse races and a variety of equestrian events.
LINI'S Riding School in Cermes
LINI'S Riding School offers children and adults the opportunity to discover the world of horses in a peaceful and family-friendly environment. Respectful interaction with the horses and individual guidance tailored to each participant's abilities are at the heart of every lesson.
Lessons are available for children aged 7 and above and for adults weighing up to 75 kg. Younger children may participate by prior arrangement. All sessions take place in the riding arena under supervision; trail rides are not offered.
The gentle Haflinger horses are particularly suitable for beginners and leisure riders. Special emphasis is placed on learning how to handle horses safely and respectfully.

GQ Stable Lana
GQ Stable Lana is an equestrian centre where horse welfare, professional expertise and personal guidance are the main priorities. The riding school offers lessons for beginners and advanced riders, including lunge lessons and group lessons led by a qualified riding instructor.
Several reliable school horses provide a safe introduction to horse riding. During the summer months, weekly summer camps for children are also organised. In addition to riding lessons, participants learn about horse care, proper handling of horses and enjoy a range of outdoor activities.
Trail rides outside the riding facility are not offered.
