Conquer the mountain, reach the top, enjoy the gigantic view: In the alpine landscape of the Merano 2000 skiing and hiking area, gentle alpine pastures, rugged rocks and mighty peaks come into view as a matter of course.

Erika and Elisabeth are mother and daughter. Together with their family they run the Eichernhof in Vöran. A beautiful farm a little below the village, surrounded by meadows and forests. With young cattle, chickens, fruit trees, bees, an old mill and a large garden where fresh vegetables, fruits and all kinds of herbs thrive. Almost everything that is served here is grown and produced by hand.

Mountain bonfires: born of faith, carried on by tradition. If you look at the South Tyrolean mountains after dark on the Sunday after Corpus Christi or the third Sunday after Pentecost, you can see them clearly: Christian symbols such as hearts, crosses or the letters IHS, formed from a multitude of individual fires.
