Alpine and Mountain Tours from April to November near Merano

There are countless hiking routes in the South Tyrolean holiday region of Merano and Environs, from the Texelgruppe Nature Park to the Salten plateau and the Nonsberg region. In Lana and surroundings, there is a network consisting of a variety of trails, stretching from the bottom of the valley over the hills of Cermes/Tscherms and leading up to the high Alpine peaks of the area. The more demanding summit tours lead you at solitary heights to the summit crosses with 360-degree panoramic views.

At Postal/Burgstall and Terlano/Terlan, state-of-the-art cable cars bring hikers and mountain bikers up to the high plateau of the Salten in just a few minutes. The cable car of Lana leads to the traffic-free hiking area of Vigiljoch, at 2,000 m altitude. And in Voiana/Völlan above Lana you will find gentle trails leading through forests and chestnut groves.

Hiking enthusiasts will find a wide range of mountain tours in Lana and the surrounding area, such as the Hiking Camp in spring, the guided Summit Tours event in summer, and the Autumn Hikes in October. Mountain guides take hikers along a variety of paths at different altitudes and share knowledge about the local flora and fauna, history and culture of this mountain world.
Requirements: Good physical condition with hiking experience, no fear of heights and surefootedness.

Equipment: ankle-high trekking or mountain boots, wind jacket, sweater, cap, gloves, sunscreen, sunglasses, walking sticks, food and water.

Spring hiking tours - tours for every taste and requirement.

The rough mountains surrounding the Val d'Ultimo, Val Venosta and Adige Valleys form a unique mountain panorama. They represent a challenge even for sporty ambitious hikers: a dream holiday for visitors who want to gain new energy in the fresh mountain, enjoy spectacular views and relax "actively".

Lana is a conveniently located starting point for numerous hiking routes. It is therefore the ideal location for the hiking camp "Wandercamp". Adults and children are welcome! Flexibility is the name of the game in the camp. Participants can choose between easy, intermediate and challenging tours. The tours are led by the experienced mountain and hiking guides of the Merano Mountaineering School.

In case of unfavourable weather there is an alternative programme including winery or museum visits and many other cultural offers.
