There are countless hiking routes in the South Tyrolean holiday region of Merano and Environs, from the Texelgruppe Nature Park to the Salten plateau and the Nonsberg region. In Lana and surroundings, there is a network consisting of a variety of trails, stretching from the bottom of the valley over the hills of Cermes/Tscherms and leading up to the high Alpine peaks of the area. The more demanding summit tours lead you at solitary heights to the summit crosses with 360-degree panoramic views.
At Postal/Burgstall and Terlano/Terlan, state-of-the-art cable cars bring hikers and mountain bikers up to the high plateau of the Salten in just a few minutes. The cable car of Lana leads to the traffic-free hiking area of Vigiljoch, at 2,000 m altitude. And in Voiana/Völlan above Lana you will find gentle trails leading through forests and chestnut groves.
