LANA | MUSIC | FESTIVAL 2026 - Cantate Domino

The ensemble Meranbaroque was founded in 2003 by Stephan Kofler and brings together musicians with international experience in leading baroque ensembles. Their performances have taken them to renowned concert halls worldwide and to prestigious festivals in Italy and beyond. The ensemble plays on original instruments or their replicas, placing particular emphasis on historically informed performance practice.

Stephan Kofler, organist and musicologist, studied in Innsbruck and Venice and attended masterclasses with leading figures in early music. He has performed internationally and is artistic director of several music series and festivals in Meran.

The soloists include, among others, internationally acclaimed baroque performer Lucia Napoli, who performs worldwide with prominent conductors and ensembles, and baritone Mauro Borgioni, who is heard in major concert halls across Europe, Asia, and America. The ensemble is further completed by soprano Alexa Mairhofer, who specializes in Renaissance and baroque singing and, in addition to her concert activities, is also engaged in music education.
