Green Events in the Passeiertal Valley

Sustainable strategies for environmental protection and resource conservation

In the verdant Passeiertal valley in the Ötztal Alps, respect for natural world has always been at the centre of local life, which still beats to the rhythm of the seasons. To us, the fundamental Green Events concepts of sustainability and protection of the environment are nothing new and simply represent an extension of our existing traditions. Green Events refer to various kinds of concerted actions that help to preserve natural resources and at the same time protect the environment. In the Passeiertal Valley, Green Events are rated according to economic and ecological sustainability, as well as social criteria. Among other things, this includes favouring environmentally friendly materials over disposable products. Green Events thus promote waste separation and recycling.

Regional South Tyrolean goods and services, especially those from our valley (“zero-km” sourcing) significantly contribute to environmental protection and are in line with our Green Events goals. Choosing products originating from the region and especially our valley also helps to support local farmers and other producers, thus reducing the impact on the environment while also boosting the local economy.
