The watercourses in the low mountains, originally used to irrigate the fields in the valley, are known as the Waal, and today the traisl along this ancient irrigation channels are popular sites for walking. In the Passeiertal Valley, there are four Waalwege trails – hiking trails without steep inclines. The trails are lined with forests in a panoramic setting and are ideal for walks on hot days, or for
families with young children. The walking time is between 1 ½ and 3 hours.
