Four long-distance trails run through the Passeiertal Valley. The E5 European Long-Distance Trail (Europäischer Fernwanderweg E5) goes from Constance to Venice. One lap of this long-distance trail runs from the Timmelsjoch mountain pass through the Passeiertal Valley and downhill to Bozen.
The Merano High Mountain Trail circles the
Texelgruppe Nature Park and can be completed in various stages. Another popular long-distance trail in the Passeiertal Valley is the Romedius Pilgerweg pilgrimage route leading to the San Romedio pilgrimage site in neighboring Trentino. Along the way, there are many mountain huts and traditional mountain restaurants. The refuges and
mountain huts located along the trails in the Passeiertal Valley mainly serve traditional Tyrolean dishes based on old recipes of the region.
