Where Nobility and Faith Meet – A Historical Discovery Tour (Psairer Langis)

Historical guided tour in St. Leonhard with parish church and Jaufenburg, return via the Sonnenrundweg – ending with a shared lunch

Did you know that the Passeiertal Valley was once home to noble rulers? Our historical walk begins in St. Leonhard/S. Leonardo at the tourist information office. From there, we stroll to the parish church dedicated to St. Leonhard. We then continue to Jaufenburg Castle, the former ancestral seat of the Counts of Passeier, who ruled this area in the 13th and 14th centuries. Inside the museum tower, centuries-old frescoes illustrate the life of this noble family. Just below, we visit the Heilig-Kreuz-Kapelle (chapel), completed in 1531. The tour ends with a scenic return to the village via the "Sonnenrundweg" (sun trail), where a delicious lunch awaits us.
