Directions

From the car park in Pfelders, follow the wide forest road to just before Lazins inn. 20 m after the second bridge, the route turns left into a steep, rather sparse larch forest. Continue in a series of hairpin bends to the edge of the forest. From here, cross beautiful hollows and slopes to the flat hill where the lake is nestled. You have a constant view of Erenspitze, although it cannot be climbed.

For the descent, follow the ascent route through the beautiful slopes and finally through the forest mentioned above, which is nevertheless easy to ski through.

Recommended equipment

Carry the necessary safety equipment, including an avalanche transceiver, avalanche shovel and probe. Depending on the route and conditions, a helmet, ski crampons and additional equipment may also be required.

Wear warm, weather-appropriate clothing and suitable ski touring equipment. Take sufficient water and food with you and plan your tour so that you return in good time, preferably before nightfall.

• Coming from Meran towards the Passeiertal Valley, take the Jaufenstraße SS44 to St. Leonhard, continue towards Moos, take on the Timmelsjochstraße and continue on the SP114 to Pfelders

• Coming from the Timmelsjoch, take on the Timmelsjochstraße to Moos and continue on the SP114 to Pfelders

• Coming from the Jaufenpass towards St. Leonhard, take the Jaufenstraße SS44, continue towards Moos on the Timmelsjochstraße and continue on the SP114 to Pfelders
