Ski Touring Course with avalanche awareness training

Ski touring offers the freedom to explore beyond the ski slopes, but it also requires responsibility when dealing with nature and alpine hazards. A safe experience depends on the right equipment, good physical fitness, careful planning, and the ability to assess avalanche conditions correctly.

In our ski touring course, you will learn these essential skills step by step and put them directly into practice together in the mountains.

 

Program:

Day 1: Basic avalanche course (theoretical introduction, avalanche transceiver training, working with avalanche rescue dogs)

Day 2: Advanced course during a ski tour (tour planning, avalanche hazard assessment, route selection and track setting)

Day 3: Guided ski tour

 

Note: Snowshoe hikers are also welcome to participate on the first day of the course.

The event will be in German and Italian.

Parking is available on site.

Participants should have good physical fitness, functional ski touring clothing, their own ski touring equipment (rental equipment is available at Günthers Rentasport in Pfelders and is not included in the price), and food and drinks for the day.

The cancellation of the booked service can be made until 3 p.m. the day before. In this case the participant will be refunded 100% of the costs. Alternatively, a rebooking for a service of equal value or for a service of greater value can be made until 3 p.m. of the day before. If the amount of the alternative service is less than the price paid, no difference will be paid. In case of cancellation or deregistration after 3 p.m. of the previous day, as well as in case of non-appearance on the defined date of the offer, no refund will be made and the costs will be borne 100% by the participant:in. If the service is canceled by the organizer, the participant:in will be refunded 100% of the costs.

• Off-piste skiing experience is required.
