Adventure Schneeberg
Experience the former mining area of Schneeberg on an impressive guided tour of the museum, the mining gallery and ride on the mine train
The tour starts at the bridge Schneebergbrücke and offers a moderately difficult but rewarding hike through impressive mining and alpine landscapes
Tour itinerary:
- ascent to the former Schneeberg mining area (now mountain hut and museum)
- visit of the museum
- lunch break with refreshment option at the Schneeberg Hut
- ascent to the Schneebergscharte
- descent to the Poschhausstollen gallery
- 3.5 km ride with the mine train
- 2.5 km underground walk through the historic Karlstollen tunnel
- descent back to the starting point
Return: arround 6:50 p.m. at the bridge Schneebergbrücke
Walking time: approx. 7 hours (round trip) | Difference in altitude: approx. 1,100 m
Note: good physical condition required!
The guided tour will be in German and Italian.

Parking facilities on site
To bring along
Weather-appropriate comfortable clothing, backpack, sturdy footwear, as well as food and drinks for the tour.
Additional info
The tour will only take place with a minimum of 8 participants.
Not suitable for people with claustrophobia or mold allergy.
